Joining Hands for Zero Hunger

Rise Against Hunger is an international hunger relief organization that coordinates the packaging and distribution of food to people in need. Founded in 1998, Rise Against Hunger mobilizes more than 350,000 volunteers each year to package meals for people in need around the globe. This year our Sunway International School volunteers packed 80,000 lunches!

Kindergarten didn't get to volunteer but we did take a walk through the Multi-purpose hall with our Reading Buddies to see all the food being packed. The kids were amazed to see so much food and so many people working hard to help others.

Patterns

We’ve been exploring patterns in Kindergarten this week. Check out the video below and maybe you and your child can find some patterns around your house, in the supermarket or you can even make your own! If you find (or make) any patterns, send Miss Alicia or Miss Kelly a photo through email.

Happy Learning!

100 Days of Smiles

Can you believe we made it to our first 100 Days of Kindergarten?

Today we dressed up like we are 100 years old, brought in 100 things from home and spent most of our day counting and building to 100. Earlier this week we wrote in our journal I want 100....

Welcome Back!

I was happy to see so many smiling faces today (and just a few tired ones) as we start our second semester. Thank you for your patience as we work out a morning routine with our new medical assistant, hopefully we'll be in the classroom much sooner as the week goes on. Most of us remembered our indoor shoes or slippers and the kids really enjoyed wearing them.

Patty left us a long message this morning and helped us to find our sight words. Then we wrote in our brand new journals all about our summer holidays. Most kids knew they went somewhere in an airplane, but really had no idea where they went!
